HF: What does
"Reindeer Games" mean?
INH: "Reindeer Games" is a game that we
play. I mean, we're not Reindeer, but they do exist. They don't
play this game, but we do. The way to play is to stand facing your
guitarist, then stick your arms up LA style and begin to hop from foot to
foot. Rotate to the left while your guitarist rotates to the right,
then at the apogee, swing your right foot around, now it's very
important that it is your right foot, that's the outside foot.
It you use the wrong foot it won't work. So you cross your right foot
over your left leg and tap the sole of your shoe against the sole of your
guitarist's shoe. Now, it will be his left shoe, 'cause
remember he started going the other way from you. Never play without
shoes on. Then you hop the other way and tap the other foot together.
Other potential names we had for the album were "Dancing Like Dorks on
Satan's Coals," "Reindeer Homework," and "Hip Hop." We actually liked
"Hip Hop" best, but thought it might be a tad misleading. We're more
gansta than hip hop, you know?
HF: So, what were your
main influences for this album?
INH: Mostly our previous
two albums, but also a book. |
